Through our personal and corporate efforts, Golden 1 makes a positive difference in our local communities and the lives of our members! We encourage you to do the same.
We sponsor our own community service events. Some of our most rewarding events include our free public shred events and our blood drives. During a recent shred event, approximately 3,000 individuals safely disposed of confidential documents and sensitive materials. And each quarter, the BloodSource Bloodmobile visits our Operations Center to collect dozens of pints of life-saving blood from generous Golden 1 employees.
In addition, through our association with United Way and Children's Miracle Network, employees are able to donate directly from each paycheck.

Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Credit Unions for Kids—A nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids by raising funds for 170 children's hospitals across North America. Each year these nonprofit hospitals provide the finest pediatric care to help millions of children with life-threatening diseases and injuries.
United Way—Since 1923, United Way has raised more than $400 million for the community by partnering with employers to offer their employees the opportunity to give to the nonprofit of their choice through payroll deduction. United Way also brings together nonprofit organizations and a variety of community leaders to work on projects that that get measurable, positive results on some of the tough issues facing our communities.
Golden 1 has a long history of supporting our community. As a company, we encourage each of our departments and branches to participate in a variety of events that benefit their local communities. And, through the Golden 1 G1VE program, employees are allowed to spend up to four hours of paid time to volunteer at local charities each year.
Board Members, managers, and employees represent Golden 1 as board and committee members for many community organizations.
