Golden 1 knows that unforeseen expenses come up and mistakes are made on the ledger that leave you with insufficient funds in your checking account–and a declined card or a returned check. That’s where Golden 1’s Courtesy Pay Program can help.
Our Courtesy Pay Program is extra coverage when you have insufficient funds in your checking account. So, instead of a declined card or returned check, Golden 1 will cover the payment up to $500 for electronic payments and transfers (ACH transactions), checks, and debit transactions.
Why Courtesy Pay?
Courtesy Pay isn’t a loan. It’s an extra measure that steps in if Overdraft Protection is depleted or unavailable.
You will be eligible for our Courtesy Pay program if you have an eligible account type and if you maintain your account in good standing. Maintaining your account in good standing includes, among other requirements, the following:
How it works:
There is no fee to enroll and when you open a Golden 1 checking account, you're automatically enrolled in Courtesy Pay for electronic transactions (ACH) and checks. If you want the same coverage for your debit card transactions, you need to opt in to Courtesy Pay for Everyday Debit Transactions. You can revoke your opt-in to Courtesy Pay for Everyday Debit Transactions at any time by clicking here. You can also opt out from the entire Courtesy Pay program (for ACH, checks, and Everyday Debit Card Transactions) at any time by clicking here.
