Be sure to include your loan number and last name with your submission.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development offers counseling for homeowners whose mortgage loans have become delinquent. This counseling could help you avoid foreclosure, and you are urged to seek it. The Department of Housing and Urban Development can be reached at 1-800-569-4287 or TDD 1-800-877-8339.
The Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives (HAFA) program provides homeowners an alternative to resolve their mortgage debt and avoid foreclosure. If you are unable to qualify for a loan workout, you will have the ability to sell your home through a short sale if the amount you owe on your mortgage is more than the value of your home. Through the short sale you will be able to resolve this debt. Please see the HAFA Matrix for eligibility requirements.
