Current browser versions of Internet Explorer®, Firefox® for Windows XP®, Windows Vista® and Windows 7® and Safari® for Mac OS X operating systems, along with a TWAIN-compliant scanner device.
The scanner quality, scanner image cropping settings, paper stock and item position are all possible factors that could prevent a successful scan. All failed scans trigger some type of error. For troubleshooting tips, find the error below that applies to your failed scan.
It may help to place a dark piece of paper behind the check and re-scan it. The contrast in color may help the scanner pick up a better image. Sometimes drawing small dots on each corner and midway near the edge of the check will also help. You may also need to re-endorse the check using black ink.
If you continue to receive an error message while trying to scan the front or back of the check, try scanning the check upside down. You can then use the ROTATE button to view the image correctly.
