Uptown Oakland Branch grand opening

East Bay homebuyers have a new resource for home loan advice and services. Last week, Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) celebrated the opening of its new hybrid branch and Home Loans Center in uptown Oakland, Calif. The unveiling of the center included a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Golden 1 President and CEO, Donna Bland, Oakland Chamber of Commerce CEO, Barbara Leslie, and Downtown Oakland and Lake Merritt-Uptown District Associations Executive Director, Steve Snider.

“As we grow throughout California, Golden 1 is dedicated to expanding our services to strengthen the financial well-being of our members and community,” said Reva Rao, Senior Vice President, Lending at Golden 1.  “With the addition of a Home Loans Center, this new location allows us to offer even greater convenience and exceptional service for our Oakland and East Bay members.”

Golden 1’s newest branch and first Home Loans Center in Alameda County will serve as a one-stop shop for banking services and home lending. Home Loan Advisors help members with the entire mortgage, refinance, or home-equity loan process in a comfortable atmosphere dedicated to personalized lending. In addition, the credit union is constantly establishing new relationships with area real estate agents, insurance agents, and financial advisors.

Home financing is one of the largest financial transactions a consumer will make, and consumers shopping for a home loan have unique needs. Golden 1 is one of the first credit unions to meet these needs with specialized centers focused on home lending and lower costs. Golden 1 members can potentially save thousands on closing costs with its exclusive Buyer Advantage Program.

The Oakland Branch is located at 2551 Broadway in the Uptown District and will be open Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
