The Golden 1 Scholarship Program has helped our members and their dependents achieve their academic goals and dreams since 2013. To date, we have awarded nearly $4 million to 500 deserving students. We're proud to help California's future leaders!
To be eligible, students must:
- Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
- Be involved in community service totaling at least 24 hours in the last 12 months
- Be a Golden 1 member, or a dependent of a member for at least one year*
- Attend an accredited nonprofit two-year community college or four-year college/university in California as a full-time student
Applications will open this fall for the 2024-2025 academic year.
*Student or parent/guardian must be a Golden 1 member for at least 1 year as of the application deadline each year, listed as the Member/Owner of the account. Student recipients who applied as dependents and are not already Golden 1 members must open a Golden 1 membership as the primary account holder (Member/Owner) before the scholarship funds are disbursed.
Our 2022 scholarship recipients helped us celebrate the program's tenth year.
The future is now.
We are dedicated to supporting our members, now and for the future. Our scholarship program is an essential part of that promise. By investing in California’s future leaders, we’re helping create stronger communities. And by putting people before profit, we’re continuing our commitment to help every Californian live their healthiest, happiest financial life.
