Golden 1 Credit Union Opens 2023 Scholarship Program Application Period

Eligible California students can apply for a scholarship through January 2023

Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is pleased to announce the application period is open for its 2023 Scholarship Program. Golden 1 will award dozens of scholarships next summer to eligible California students seeking higher education who exhibit excellence in academics, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.

The Scholarship Program provides Golden 1 members and their dependents financial assistance to attend full-time accredited, nonprofit two-or four-year colleges or universities in California. To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be involved in at least 24 hours of community service in the past 12 months, and be a Golden 1 member, or a dependent of a member, for at least one year. Dependents of Golden 1 employees are also eligible to apply.

Launched in 2013, Golden 1’s Scholarship Program has awarded nearly 500 scholarships to California students. Recipients range from incoming college freshmen to college seniors. In 2022, Golden 1 awarded 43 students scholarships throughout the state.
