1. Open the secure mail message center.
   In the Golden 1 Mobile Banking app, log in to the mobile app and tap "More," then "Secure Messages."
   In Golden 1 Online Banking: log in to Online Banking and click "Messages." 
2. Click "Compose message" or "New message."
3. For the subject of your message – scroll all the way to the bottom of the list and choose "Other."
4. Start the message "Servicemember benefit request ..."

In addition to the protection afforded by the SCRA, the California Military Families Financial Relief Act (CMFFRA) provides that any reservist may defer payments of principal and interest on the following obligations while serving on active duty: mortgages, credit cards, business loans, personal loans, lines of credit, and up to (2) vehicle loans. The deferment period will be either 180 days, or the period of active duty plus an additional 60 days, whichever is less. The total deferment period may not exceed 180 days within a 365-day period.
