CashBack+ is a rewards account that is a benefit offered by Golden 1. Earn instant cashback by doing your everyday shopping with digital gift cards. It is an experience that’s designed to reward engagement with your credit union. Membership pays!

You can earn cashback rewards by purchasing digital gift cards to pay for your orders in-store or online.

Log into online banking and select CashBack+ from within your navigational menu.

You can transfer your cashback into your Golden 1 account by going to the "Redeem" page within CashBack+ and selecting which of your available Golden 1 accounts you would like to transfer your cashback to. Transferring cashback to your account can take up to 48 hours.

With CashBack+ Pay, members can generally expect to earn cashback ranging from 1% to 20% on purchases, depending on the specific offers and participating retailers. The exact cashback amount will vary over time and by retailer. To maximize your cashback, regularly check the CashBack+ Pay app or extension for the latest offers and promotions.

There are never any minimums to redeem your cashback balance when transferring funds to your Golden 1 account.

You can check your earnings by clicking on the cashback balance at the top of the CashBack+ homepage or by going to the "Redeem" page from the menu.

Digital gift cards will be available within your CashBack+ Wallet. You will also receive a confirmation email at the time of purchase, sent to the email associated with your Golden 1 account.

There are no limits on the cashback you can earn.

CashBack+ has a variety of offers from hundreds of well-known national and local brands that are updated frequently.

A browser extension is a small tool you add to your web browser to enhance its functionality. The CashBack+ Pay browser extension helps you earn cashback automatically when you shop online at participating brands and can also notify you about deals as you browse the websites of the brands you love.

CashBack+ Pay is the most convenient way to take your cashback on the go. Download the Chrome computer browser for online shopping and download the iPhone Safari app on your mobile device for online and in-store offers.

When shopping on a participating retailer's site, the extension will notify you with a pop-up. Click on the pop-up to activate the cashback offer. You will receive a digital gift card to complete your purchase online. Proceed with the checkout process on the retailer's website as usual, using your connected Golden 1 account.

To pay in-store, open the CashBack+ Pay app on your phone and choose the participating retailer where you are shopping. Generate a digital gift card for the exact amount of your purchase and present the digital gift card at the checkout to complete your purchase. 

Your cashback will be automatically deposited into your CashBack+ Wallet, and you can transfer your rewards to your Golden 1 checking or savings account.

Connect your Golden 1 account with the CashBack+ Pay app on iPhone or by logging into your Golden 1 account on Chrome on your computer or Safari on your iPhone. Upon login, the browser extension will prompt you to link your Golden 1 Credit Union account if it is not currently linked.

CashBack+ Pay is compatible with Chrome on desktop and Safari on iPhone.

Download from the Chrome store on your computer or from the App Store from your iPhone.

No, there are no additional fees or restrictions on digital gift cards purchased through CashBack+ Pay.

When you access the electronic gift card, the option to add it to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet will be presented, if the merchant has that capability.

When redeeming a gift card, the merchant may ask for a PIN. The PIN may be the gift card number or a separate PIN number provided by the merchant.

Look for the icon that looks like a puzzle piece in or next to the browser bar on Safari in your iPhone or Chrome on your computer. If CashBack+ Pay is connected, you will see offers in on the side of your screen when shopping at participating brands.

If you're not connected, you can open the CashBack+ Pay app on your iPhone and it will prompt you to connect within the app.

On your computer, log in to your Credit Union account on Chrome, and the extension will prompt you to connect if necessary.

There may be a delay updating your Golden 1 account balance on the account summary page, but the actual account balance will update in real time and the transaction is reflected in the transaction history. Logging out and back into online banking should update the balance on the summary view.

Any rewards not transferred to a savings or checking account prior to account closure may be forfeited.

Available brands are shown in the CashBack+ Pay app on your iPhone or by visiting the Status Page on your computer.

The refund process depends on how the particular brand handles returns. Generally, brands will issue a new gift card with the refund amount. Refer to the brand/retailer for more information.

For security reasons, certain transactions are placed in pending status to allow for a manual review. Please allow one business day for the review. This review is typically completed within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). You will receive an email notification when the review is complete.

The CashBack+ link is visible to all members both in and outside of the US. However, if a member attempts to access CashBack+ from outside the US, they will receive an error message letting them know CashBack+ has failed to load.
