What is a Balance Transfer and how does it work?
A balance transfer allows you to move balances from one credit card to a lower rate credit card to simplify your payments and save money on interest. You can transfer your high rate credit card balances to your Golden 1 credit card by signing into Online Banking, select your Golden 1 credit card account and "Credit Card" under Account Details then Menu, Manage Card and Balance Transfer. 


Is there a fee to transfer other credit card balances to my Golden 1 credit card?

There is no fee for balance transfers to a Golden 1 credit card account.*

Can I transfer balances in Golden 1 Mobile Banking?
Yes, internal transfers between Golden 1 accounts can be completed within Mobile Banking.
When I applied for a new credit card, I was approved for a different APR than I currently have on my existing Golden 1 card. How will this impact my current balance(s) when they are transferred to the new card?

I received convenience checks for my Golden 1 credit card account, but have lost or misplaced them. Can I request replacement checks or additional checks?
Convenience checks are not available on-demand for your Golden 1 credit card account and cannot be replaced when they are provided by Golden 1. However, fee-free balance transfers to your Golden 1 credit card can be done online or by calling our Member Service Contact Center to request the required form. The form may be returned by mail or to any Golden 1 branch.

How can I make a payment to my Golden 1 credit card account?

You can transfer the payments from another Golden 1 account to your credit card account through Mobile or Online Banking. Scheduled transfers will process at 1:00 p.m. (Pacific time) on the selected date. Once the transfer has processed, payments will affect your credit card’s available balance immediately, and there is no cost for this service. You can also mail your payment to:

How are my cash back rewards calculated for my Golden 1 Member Cash Rewards+ credit card?

A 1% cash reward is offered on net qualified purchases (less credits, returns and adjustments), excluding cash advances, and balance transfers. A 4% cash rebate is offered on net qualified purchases at eligible gas merchants. Cash rewards on gas purchases are limited to up to $5,000 in purchases annually, then 1% thereafter.

A 3% cash reward is offered on net qualified purchases from eligible grocery and restaurant merchants. 3% cash reward does not include grocery purchases classified as wholesale clubs. The rewards will be credited by deposit to your Golden 1 share account by the end of each month and after the close of your account's monthly billing cycle. Credit card accounts closed prior to their monthly closing statement date forfeit all unpaid rebates earned during the prior period.
