Golden 1 Credit Unions Earns Two National Best Workplace Recognitions

Company again recognized as a best place to work by Forbes and American Banker

Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is pleased to announce it has received recognition as one of Forbes’ Best-in-State Employers in California for the fourth year in a row and was also named as one of American Banker's Best Credit Unions to Work For for the second consecutive year.

Golden 1 has earned the Best-in-State Employer recognition from Forbes each of the four years the list has been released, which ranks America’s best employers by state and includes all 50 states plus the District of Columbia. Companies were selected based on an independent survey from a sample of 70,000 employees working for organizations with at least 500 employees in the U.S. Golden 1 is the only credit union based in California to make the list and one of three credit unions included nationwide this year.

This is the second year in a row Golden 1 has been recognized by American Banker. Companies must opt in to be considered for this list and must have at least 25 employees working in the U.S.

Forbes worked with marketing research company Statista to identify organizations that were liked best by their employees and have what it takes to attract and retain top talent. The final list ranks the 1,382 employers that received the greatest number of recommendations in each of the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia.

American Banker reviewed the benefits and workplace policies and practices for employers who opted to be included in the list, as well as surveyed employees. Employees were chosen anonymously to participate in the survey.

In addition to the national best workplace recognitions, Golden 1 was also recently named as one of American Banker’s top financial institutions in the country delivering the Best Customer Experience. The composite Humanizing Customer Experience score was based entirely on customer ratings across four customer experience dimensions including behavioral, intellectual, emotional, and sensorial. This is the second year in a row Golden 1 was recognized by American Banker in this category.
