In Online Banking:
- Sign on to Online Banking
- Click on Settings in the upper right corner
- Click Security and Alerts and select Card Controls and Alerts from the menu.
If you have already added your card you can Suspend the card by clicking on the Toggle next to Card On/Off displayed under the picture of the card. You can set controls for the card by clicking on the Control Preferences tab.
In Mobile Banking:
- Sign on to the Mobile Banking app
- Under Quick Links, Tap Manage Cards and Card Alerts or tap the Menu icon and tap Manage Cards and Card Alerts from the menu
You will be directed to download our Card Controls app. Once you have downloaded the app you will be able to register your card. Register your card on the app
then Tap Lock Card to instantly suspend your card. All transactions except for recurring payments will be denied until you unlock your card again.
2. In the Mobile Banking app under Quick Links tap Manage Cards and Card Alerts or tap on the More icon and tap Manage Cards and Card Alerts

4. On the Card Details Page tap the Unlock Card icon
In Online Banking:
- Click Settings in the upper right corner
- Click Security Center
- Select Card Controls and Alerts
- On the Control Preferences tab click on Locations and click on the Toggle next to My Regions or International depending on the location and add Region or Country.
On the Card Controls App:
- Sign in to the Card Controls app
- On the Card Details page, tap the Travel Plan icon
- A one time passcode will be sent to you through SMS text to the phone associated with the Debit card
- Enter in the one time passcode
- Enter in the depart date, return date and the location
- Hit Save
The travel plan will be saved and you can set up two travel notices per card. For any questions please call our Member Service Contact Center at 1-877-465-3361.
To sign up for Debit card transaction alerts using Online Banking:
- Sign on to Online Banking, then click Settings in the top right corner.
- Click Security Center
- Select Card Controls and Alerts from the menu
- Register your debit card if you haven't done so already, or select if you would like to receive them via email and/or text message.
To sign up for Debit card transaction alerts using the Golden 1 Mobile app:
- Sign on to the Mobile Banking app
- Under Quick Links, Tap Manage Cards and Card Alerts or tap the Menu icon and tap Manage Cards and Card Alerts from the menu
- You will be directed to either download our Card Controls app if you haven't already or to the homepage of the Card Controls app.
- Proceed to either register your debit card or click on the Alert Preferences tab to select what types of alerts you would like to receive and if you would like to receive them via email and/or text message.
To sign into our Card Controls app you can sign in to the app directly or you can sign in through our Mobile Banking app by following these steps:
- Log in to our Mobile Banking Banking app
- Under Quick Links Tap Manage Cards and Card Alerts
- You will be redirected to either
- Download the Golden 1 Card Controls app from your app store if you haven't already or to the homepage of the Card Controls app
- Register your credit card.
Once it's set up, you can reach the Card Controls app directly from the Mobile Banking app.

You can report your card lost/stolen through the Card Controls app and we will auto-lock your card. Or by turning your card off in Online Banking and calling our Member Service Contact Center:

If you’re planning a trip out of town and expect to use your Golden 1 Debit or credit card, let us know ahead of time. We can safeguard your account while you’re gone to help ensure your card isn’t fraudulently used – and alert you immediately if it is.

To sign up for credit card transaction alerts using your Online Banking account:
- Sign in to your account, then click Settings on the top right corner.
- On the Settings page, click “Security Center”.
- Select Card Controls and Alerts
- Select what types of credit card alerts you would like to receive and if you would like to receive them via email, text, or both.
To sign up for credit card transaction alerts using Mobile Banking:
- Log in to the Golden 1 Mobile app
- On the Accounts homepage or from the Menu list, tap "Manage Cards and Card Alerts"
- You will be redirected to the Card Controls app
- Tap on the Alerts & Controls icon to set credit card transactions.
You can also report your card lost/stolen through Card Controls (“Manage Cards”) on our mobile app or use the app to lock your card.
If you are on vacation or out of the country, Visa® offers 24/7 emergency card replacement service. For a Visa emergency card replacement, call 1-800-VISA-911 (1-800-847-2911), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Activate your card and set/reset a PIN by calling the number on the activation sticker (1-888-999-0126).
• Update your mobile wallets and Visa Secure Checkout with your new card information.
• Contact merchants with whom you’ve set up recurring payments and update your card number.
• Update automatic payment transfers within Online/Mobile Banking.
• Update your Card Controls app by:
Resetting transaction alerts (click “Alerts and Controls” then choose Alerts to select your transaction types).
Re-establishing travel alerts within the app (click “Travel Plan” and submit dates/locations).
If you don’t yet have the Card Controls app, you can download it on the Apple App Store® or Google Play StoreTM.
• Your new card may automatically be enrolled in two-way fraud alerts. If you do not wish to receive fraud alerts, you can opt out by texting “STOP” to 21556.
• Reenroll the new card number in ebills.

Log in to your account. To view account alerts tap on Manage Account Alerts under Quick Links on the app home screen.Then tap Alert History.
To view card alerts, tap Manage Card and Card Alerts under Quick Links in the app home screen to be directed to the Card Controls app.
66368: Receive Visa alerts for credit and debit transactions.
36397: Receive one-time pass codes for online and mobile banking.
78156: Used for one-time passcode for Card Controls.
37268: Two-way fraud alert for debit and credit cards. Used to receive and respond to suspected incidents of debit card or credit card fraud.
