Big Day of Giving Donations Made with Golden 1 Credit or Debit Cards Once Again Eligible for Proportional Match

Golden 1 will match up to $50,000 of its members’ charitable contributions
Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is proud to partner with the Sacramento Region Community Foundation for the annual Big Day of Giving on Thursday, May 2. For the fifth consecutive year, Golden 1 will be contributing a proportional match of up to $50,000 for donations made using a Golden 1 credit or debit card.
“The generosity and spirit of philanthropy embodied during the Big Day of Giving is part of what makes our region special. Golden 1 is excited to continue our support of this essential fundraising effort,” said Erica Taylor, Vice President of Communications and Community Relations. “Our commitment to matching our members’ donations is another way Golden 1 is living its mission of people helping people.”
Golden 1 members can donate at www.bigdayofgiving.org on May 2. The match funds will be proportionally divided between the charities supported by members. Last year, Golden 1 members donated nearly $500,000 on the annual giving day and the region as a whole donated $7.4 million to 587 nonprofits. Since the inception of Big Day of Giving, the region has raised more than $30 million, with Golden 1 members contributing more than $1,770,600.
