At Golden 1, we're always looking for ways to make our members' lives better! We've partnered with Zelle® to bring you a fast and easy way to send and receive money with friends, family, and others that you know and trust!

Need to split the cost of the lunch tab with friends or pay the babysitter? Want to setup payments for recurring bills of the same amount? It's easy with Zelle®; just enter the recipient's email address or U.S. mobile number. The money goes directly from your account to another U.S. bank account in minutes.1 And it's free2 to use in the Golden 1 Mobile Banking app and Online Banking.

How to Get Started


Enrolling with Zelle® is a quick, one-time process!

  1. Open the Mobile Banking* app, tap "Transfer and Pay," then "Send Money with Zelle®." Or log in to Online Banking* and click "Send Money with Zelle®."
  2. Follow the prompts to complete your enrollment.
  3. Send or receive money at your convenience!

Tips to Send it Safely With Zelle®

SCAN OR SEND A QR CODE

With Zelle® QR codes, you can send money to the right person without having to type their email address or U.S. mobile number.

ONLY PAY PEOPLE YOU TRUST

Use Zelle® to pay friends and family and people you know and trust. If you're ordering online, consider using a debit or credit card with fraud protection rather than Zelle®.

VERIFY RECIPIENT'S INFORMATION

Make sure your recipient’s name, U.S. mobile number, and email address are correct before you click Send.

BE AWARE

If a payment situation feels unusual, it probably is.

Trust your intuition and investigate.

How to use the Zelle® QR code


Use Zelle® QR codes to send or request money without the risk of entering an incorrect phone number or email!

Golden 1 Mobile app instructions


To request money with your unique assigned Zelle® QR code:

  • Log in to the Golden 1 app and click “Send Money with Zelle®.”
  • Next, click on the gear icon to go to your Zelle® settings, click “Zelle® QR code,” and see your QR code displayed under “My Code.”
  • Now you can share your Zelle® QR code by text, email, or print. 

To send money:

  • Log in to the Golden 1 app, click “Send money with Zelle®,” and click “Send.”
  • Click on the QR code icon displayed at the top of the “Select Recipient” screen.
  • Once you allow access to your camera, simply point your camera at the recipient’s Zelle® QR code, enter the amount, hit “Send,” and the money is on the way.
  • Remember – when sending money to someone new, it’s important to confirm the recipient is correct by reviewing the displayed name before you tap "Send."

Golden 1 Online Banking


To request money with your unique assigned Zelle® QR code:

  • Log in to your Golden 1 Online Banking profile and click “Send Money with Zelle®.”
  • Next, go to “Settings” and find your personalized Zelle® QR code displayed along the top of the screen.
  • Click on the QR code, and you'll be brought to the next screen, where you can print and share the QR code.

To send money:

When you send money with Zelle® in Online Banking, the QR code is not supported. Using a QR code to send money requires scanning someone else’s QR code. That function is available in your Mobile app but not in Online Banking.

You can still use Zelle® to send money in Online Banking by adding a new recipient and entering their email address or US mobile number.

  • We discontinued Popmoney® as our personal payment solution and will offer Zelle® as of June 6, 2023, to improve our digital offerings. Zelle® lets you send, request, and receive money directly from and to your bank account.
